Playing Catch Up!

Well a LOT has happened since our last post!  Not only did we get our baby girl, B, from Fayetteville back (she and her hubby Will are back for good!,) we also moved out of the building that The Browsing Post first opened, and has been in since 1973 (we upgraded!,) AND we added another little service to our community---Cupcakes!!  Yes, with all the new space in our more than twice as big store, we wanted to come up with something to fill the space, as well as something that would enhance our somewhat dated character. Well let me tell you, we found something. Her name is ButterCream and she has been a very busy girl!!
  Our new side-gig, ButterCream Cupcakery has been in full swing since it's addition in November.  Man, have we been baking!  Our little family-owned business has needed all hands on deck (handyman Dad has now become a full-timer, "Dishwasher Dad," "Daddy the Decorator," and has even taken over most of the sewing ("Monogram Mom'"s old job)!  The brothers joke about that one, reminding him that he may need a cute little sewing apron before long.
But in all seriousness, the cupcakes have been a fantastic addition to the store.  We offer a huge variety of flavors, about 6 or 8 different ones a day, and are really excited about all the traffic we've gotten since the big move!  Thanks to everyone for the support and for those of you who've been our guinea pigs throughout our trial and error process, sorry and thank you!!  But for those of you who haven't been in to taste one, they just keep getting better every day, so please come in and check out our new pad!

We're so excited for our home team to compete against the Shiloh Christian Saints Thursday night at Reynold's Razorback stadium to kick off this year's season!! Even Chad Hooten of Hooten's Arkansas Football is chatting it up about the crowd that is sure to show for this event! "Three-time defending 4A state champ Shiloh Christian squares off against Heber Springs and its talented running back, Markeyvus Mays at 3:30 p.m." (from Hootens.com) We know we're rooting for our boys to knock the Saints' socks off!! Go Team! (If you're going to the game you might just run in to Bethany too!)

History Lesson

The Browsing Post has been a service to the Heber Springs community for over 35 years, and we're proud to say that it was the first location to sell Aromatique, made right here in Heber Springs by two wonderful ladies who first began their pot-pourri business in a garage. Shortly after, the Browsing Post proudly helped them sell it to the public. Now a huge company, Aromatique offers many different fragrances to freshen your home, and have been going strong for over 30 years!

Gift-giving Galore!

We carry a large selection of baby gifts, as well as gourmet foods and kitchenware, a large selection of candles and fashion accessories, and home and garden decor. We are an elite dealer for Lampe Berger and carry many different lamps and fuels. Under new management, we're still located at 1103 South 7th Street on Hwy. 25B South in Heber Springs, and we're looking forward to making new relationships with our customers and servicing the community. We're open from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Saturday, so please feel free to come in and "browse" around!
